Our environment is in danger

Over millions of years the ancient forests and plants have produced oxygen on our planet, this is the oxygen which we breathe today. They were devoured by the young earth and became coal, oil and natural gas.

Today humans burn these same fossil materials. During the process of being burned they use up the oxygen formed at that time and produce CO2 again. A further phenomenon is the enormous rise of methane gas in the atmosphere. This has several causes: One of which is the excessive production and use of natural gas world-wide.

Increasing concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) as well as methane increases the natural greenhouse effect and leads to the climatic threat: The consequences are according to UN-studies an average rise of temperature from 1,5 to 4,5 °C which can be expected within the next 100 years.

This means a dramatic interference in our climatic system, frequent thunderstorms, hail and strong precipitation as well as drying zones and the rise of the sea level. Remember also the environmental damage caused by the leaks in pipelines or by the water pollution caused by supertanker accidents.
 

Catch the Guilty

When heating with fossil fuels like oil, gas, coal or wood there are a lot of pollutants like sulphurdioxide, nitric gases coal/russ etc. emmited. They cause acid rain, kill forests and threaten our health. Burning of any material, including natural gas, produces carbondioxide (CO2). This results in an increased greenhouse effect and causes climate change. Oil heating an average family-house emmits some 6.000 kg CO2 per year, gas heating some 4.000 kg.

We do not want to burn our own or our childrens future and destroy the ecological equilibrium. Today we carry the responsibility for tomorrow. Oil and gas will also be urgently needed as raw materials in the future, when they cannot be replaced. For example for the production of important medications or for artificial material.
